WANTED (2008) Film Review:
Daniel Kulick’s and my review of the Timur Bekmambetov film WANTED, starring Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy, and Morgan Freeman. Danny’s and my first review is effusive, as we considered the film particularly enjoyable and made for nerdy fanboys like ourselves. It’s been a while since the film was released, but this is a film blog after all, and by golly, I will post reviews until the sun no longer shines.
My review of the spectacular Christopher Nolan film, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, the third in a trilogy of films starring Christian Bale as Batman. Though not as exemplary as its predecessor, THE DARK KNIGHT, this most recent film proves once again that Nolan is the most sophisticated and intelligent blockbuster filmmaker of our day. Epic in scope and beautifully constructed, TDKR crafts a suitably awesome addition in the Dark Knight trilogy, and features excellent performances by newcomers Joseph Gordon Levitt, Tom Hardy, and Anne Hathaway.
